Serving the The Town of Oakland, the Oakland Transfer Station is one of the most comprehensive recycling and waste-disposal facilities in the greater Central Maine region.

Conveniently located on Town Farm Road, the facility accepts a wide range of residential and commercial waste. The facility does not accept hazardous waste, explosive or combustible material.

Our site features a dedicated recycling building, where residents can responsibly dispose of:

  • Cardboard
  • Assorted metal
  • Newsprint
  • Plastics (See Below)

In addition, the facility maintains a designated universal waste area for items requiring specialized handling. Accepted materials include televisions, automotive batteries, computers, laptops, printers, fluorescent light bulbs, and other similar electronics.

The Town of Oakland remains committed to providing efficient, accessible, and environmentally responsible waste-management services for the Oakland Community.
