PRO Moving Service was founded in 2003 by Peter Carey and Jason Brann. The two had worked together for other area movers and decided to bring their brand of high quality moving to Central Maine. Over the years we’ve attracted other like-minded professionals with the same desire to provide that high level of service to our team.

At PRO we really do specialize in Piano moving. We have top of the line piano moving equipment and our staff move several hundred pianos each year. PRO knows the proper way to care for your instrument and our commitment to this service has made us the top piano mover in the state and the only choice for many in the musical community.

When it comes to Residential moving we strive to make a stressful process for the homeowners as stress-free as possible. From the initial contact with us until the last piece is placed in your new home we want you to have the best experience. Our professionals are all trained to handle and protect your goods so that you can have peace of mind - relying on us to do the heavy lifting.

For hundreds or area businesses, schools, hospital systems and organizations PRO has been there to help with their Office moving needs. We’ve helped our clients with everything from medical equipment moving to schools to buildings full of modular furniture. There really is no project that is outside of our scope. Whether you need your library moved/rearranged or a home office set up, PRO can assist. We can even design your office space and provide the furniture!

Hi Jason, I wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with the work Kevin and Jeff did on 7/24. They were very professional, courteous, and helpful. Once the truck was loaded, they asked if there was anything else they could help us with before they headed to Winslow. They asked the same thing after unloading the items in Winslow. Everything arrived as it should, on time, intact, and the men worked very fast on what had to be the hottest day in 100 years! I am very grateful for their speed, care, and professionalism. To the men and women who were involved in moving our residence out of and back into the Williams Building at Colby College: Just can't thank you enough! THANKS! We'd like to thank you for your hard work and the great care you took in packing up our belongings when we were unable to do it ourselves, since we were already out of the area. Dear Peter• This letter of commendation is sent in recognition of the extraordinary moving services rendered to the Waterville Historical Society on Friday, 29 September by Kevin and his crew of Ian, Jeremy and Edgar. Over the course of a full day, these four individuals achieved the following: • Improvised our planned basement storage by laying down, or replacing extant pallets with, composite alternative pallets • Expanded our basement storage capacity, following your own direction and participation, by repurposing Colby dorm bunkbeds for a two tiered configuration • Moved very heavy and/or large artifacts and display cases through narrow doorways and stairways with extreme care and respect for these Items • Advised WHS staff on selection of items for storage and best practices for storage of upholstery items.
